About Us
The McKinsey Institute for Black Economic Mobility is a research institute and think tank dedicated to advancing racial equity and inclusive growth in the United States—and globally. We collaborate with stakeholders and leaders across the private, public, and social sectors to advance economic opportunity for Black individuals and communities and create a more inclusive economy and society.
The Institute was launched in December 2020 as a part of McKinsey’s 10 actions toward racial justice and equity. For more information on McKinsey’s broader research on diversity, equity, and inclusion, see our featured insights.
