Sasikanth is a partner in the India office, and a member of the Life Sciences Practice. He is also a geographical leader in India for the McKinsey Health Institute, a non-profit-generating entity within the firm that aspires to catalyze action to add 45 billion years of higher-quality life for all people around the world.
He leverages deep insights in business strategy, operations, and digital and analytics to advise clients in India, Europe, and Asia on operations, strategy, and growth transformation.
Notable examples of his recent work include building a digital health ecosystem for a leading healthcare company in India, as well as another in Southeast Asia, a digital-and-analytics-led operations transformation at a large industrial conglomerate, and cost and productivity transformations at multiple life sciences companies. He has also worked on the strategy and deal structuring for the partnership between two pharmaceutical companies, and leveraged advanced analytics to optimize growth for an integrated healthcare business.
Sasikanth has also worked with leading multinational pharmaceutical companies on growth strategies in India and other emerging markets. Highlights of his work in this area include developing a granular emerging-market strategy for a top generics company, and leading an integrated chemical application programming interface and manufacturing operations transformation for global generics companies across delivery, quality and cost parameters.
Passionate about making a difference in the society, Sasikanth also chairs the India office's Social Responsibility Committee and works with various nongovernmental organizations and government bodies on public health and education projects.
Prior to his current role at McKinsey, Sasikanth worked in tech development and marketing strategy.
