Revitalizing Ohio’s economy
$54.8 billion in new capital investment attraction between 2013 and 2019
For over a decade, McKinsey has supported JobsOhio’s economic growth plan to attract investments in the state and reskill and upskill talent. Between 2013 and 2017, we helped Ohio add $30 billion in payroll and outpace 25 other states in growth. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked with the state to launch Ohio to Work, a reskilling and upskilling program that has attracted new investments and created new job opportunities for Ohioans, serving approximately 4,000 jobseekers to date.

Eradicating polio in Nigeria
No new polio cases since 2016
In collaboration with Nigeria’s Ministry of Health and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, McKinsey designed and deployed a set of emergency operations centers (EOCs) to combat the country’s polio endemic. We developed the EOCs’ organizational structure, trained staff to collect and analyze data, and worked with national leaders to improve the overall vaccination campaign. Thanks to these efforts, Nigeria has successfully eradicated polio and significantly increased polio immunity among its population.
