Oscar is a partner and core member of our Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice. He leads McKinsey’s B2B work in the telecommunications sector in the Middle East and Africa.
Oscar has worked in telecommunications for the last 25 years in corporate, management consulting, and academia. Over the years, he has served telecom operators, media, and technology firms worldwide on a broad range of topics.
Oscar is passionate about technology and growth, focusing on strategy and transformation to help clients use digitization to reach their goals. His work includes strategy definition, organization and culture evolution, digital transformation and growth, including the launch of new ventures and adjacent pillars of growth.
Among his recent projects, Oscar advised a large Middle East operator on their growth strategy, and transformation planning and execution across their footprint; helped an African multi-country operator identify growth white spaces and build capabilities to exploit them, including required digital platform partnerships and M&A; and supported a major Middle East operator in their B2B multi-opco digital growth plan in the cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, and big-data spaces, including the launch of new business lines and ecosystem build-up.
