Our Mexico City office is home to more than 120 McKinsey consultants, with an additional 10 consultants based in Monterrey. They joined us from a variety of backgrounds—not only business and economics but also engineering, medicine, and the arts and humanities—and represent 17 nationalities.
Joining the Mexico office is an opportunity to become part of a dedicated, entrepreneurial, and diverse working culture. McKinsey Mexico is a close-knit and caring place where teammates quickly form enduring friendships. We organize a wide range of interest groups—sporting events, including the McKinsey America Soccer Championships, and social events, which include Friday happy hours, team lunches, and a “McKids” day when colleagues can bring their children to the office.
McKinsey is deeply committed to advancing women—in our firm and in companies and professions in Mexico and across the world. Women currently make up 20 to 25 percent of the consultants in our Mexico office. We have a dedicated women’s initiative led by two of our women partners—both of them working mothers—and we are experimenting with different career paths and working schedules to ensure that mothers have successful long-term careers at McKinsey.
