Miklos leads the Global Banking Strategy and Innovation team, the global Ecosystems Hub and is the managing partner of the Vancouver Office.
Since joining McKinsey’s Budapest office in 2001, Miklós has led more than 450 engagements for both private- and public-sector organizations across 40 countries. Most of his work concentrates around strategy, business model and organizational transformation, innovation and new business building. Among other things, he has served over 100 financial institutions in developing and implementing strategies; he has also served governments and regulators to support economic development and telecom, technology, retail, consumer goods and energy companies in starting and scaling up digital businesses.
Miklos is the co-chair of PFIC, McKinsey’s financial sector research team of over 300 experts globally. He is also the founder and chair of Panorama, the Firm’s global banking data center which is dedicated to analyze trends from the evolution of banking revenue pools to fintech, innovation and new business models.
He has written over 200 articles and reports, including several for the McKinsey Quarterly, on banking, strategy, digital and transformation related topics. He is also the co-author of the book The Ecosystem Economy, covering the emerging new world of cross-sectoral business. Miklós is a member of McKinsey’s Knowledge Council.
Miklos is a certified financial analyst, a member of the CFA Institute, and a founding member of the Hungarian Society of Investment Professionals. He was awarded the Knights Cross Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary in 2008 for supporting the government during the global financial crisis.
