Ranjani is a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. Her work focuses on large-scale strategic technology transformations, particularly at utilities.
Ranjani’s recent client projects include the following:
- advising on a large utility IT divestiture and setting up an end-to-end utility company with regulated, generation, and trading entities
- supporting a US utility with a $1 billion digital and IT modernization program, which included strategy and roadmap, product and vendor selection, and launch
- assisting an IT modernization program based in enterprise resource planning (ERP) for a US waste utility that included platform strategy, ERP product selection, system-integrator partner selection, and program governance
- supporting a large consumer organization with its digital organization and in a rapid launch of three new commercial products
- helping a financial-services company with a $10 billion integration program focused on technology blueprinting and consolidation along with the design and implementation of a new go-to-market strategy
- working with a public-sector organization to successfully deliver a $300 million ERP program, from inception to managing the rollout to business units
Ranjani has also advised multiple utilities on digital-investment portfolios, strategic sourcing, and cost-focused IT transformations to develop scalable, efficient delivery models.
Before joining McKinsey, Ranjani spent eight years managing large-scale IT transformations in retail and other industries at Cognizant. She holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s in computer science from BITS Pilani.
