Robert Tesoriero

Partner, Global Research Function & Client Capabilities CentersSan José Client Capabilities Hub

Worked with a core group of leaders to help set the strategy for our Client Capabilities Network and pushed to implement it with a focus on transforming our Capabilities and Insights teams and bringing our strategy to life in McKinsey’s Client Capabilities Hubs around the globe

Rob leads our global Capabilities and Insights Path, which includes close to 1,000 colleagues, located in McKinsey’s Client Capabilities Hubs and many of the firm’s consulting offices. The Capabilities and Insights Path, established in 2019, includes colleagues who primarily work with consulting teams, delivering impact to clients through expertise, rapidly executing standardized analysis, and through a unique set of competencies and skills. This is often done remotely and, at times, at client sites for more targeted analysis. Rob was a core part of the leadership group that created this path, which now brings together a group of colleagues with a shared vision and mission.

In addition, Rob is the global convener for our six Client Capabilities Hubs located in Chennai, Gurugram, San José, Shanghai, Waltham, and Wrocław. He works with leaders on the ground, bringing together a cohesive team, who push to bring the Client Capabilities Network’s value proposition to life in each location. Hubs have in common the push for client impact, driving innovation and attracting high-caliber talent. Each hub is also unique, influenced by the different priorities of the region in which they are located and by the environment and local culture of which they are a part.

In addition, Rob works directly with clients on topics such as building a nearshore center of excellence and ensuring that center-based capabilities are enablers of a client’s overall strategy.

Prior to his current role, Rob was one of the founding leaders of McKinsey’s hub in Costa Rica and also helped drive the transformation of our regional research team, which consisted of 100 colleagues in Costa Rica, India, Poland, and the United States.
