By leveraging first-hand experience at a leading global automotive OEM and with serving companies from a wide range of sectors, he brings distinctive expertise and passion to help clients make drastic, sustainable operations transformations.
Takuto has led various large-scale transformations—from design to implementation—in a wide range of operations issues, such as product development, supply management, manufacturing, innovation, and procurement. Recently, he counseled an automotive company to achieve significant cost reduction while building should-costing capability and redeveloping category-strategy management.
Takuto also worked with a global cosmetic company to develop a manufacturing-footprint strategy. His work included helping the client assess and create the capacity-plan model, product allocation, and investment and resource plans to support the business aspiration.
A known thought leader and strong guide in project execution, Takuto counsels many executives on operations issues, regardless of industry. Through operational transformations that deliver tangible impact, he focuses on coaching executives and managers to help improve their organizations’ mind-sets and behaviors alongside company performance.
Prior to joining McKinsey, he worked with a globally leading automotive OEM in Japan, North America, and South East Asia.
