Takuya is the leader of QuantumBlack, AI by McKinsey in Japan. In this role, he helps companies transform by ensuring that digital and analytics solutions go from pilot to full-scale adoption and scaling.

In his more than 25 years of professional experience, Taku has advised clients on several topics, including strategy, digital and analytics, enterprise transformation, service operations, product management, distribution, end-to-end customer journeys, technology architecture design, marketing, and supply-chain optimization.

Examples of Taku’s recent client work include the following:

  • leading an analytics-and-operations transformation to improve analytics process and capability, customer experience, and market share for Fortune 100 financial institutions, mobile-network operators, media high-tech companies, and retailers
  • working with a leading B2B media company on a holistic enterprise transformation that included developing a multiyear strategy, reimagining and digitizing its core end-to-end solution-engineering journeys through analytics; instituting a growth-and-operations frontline digital transformation to double earnings within three years
  • leading a frontline sales-and-analytics transformation from pilot to a national launch in the United States for a global retailer in North America with a newly designed personalized mobile-offer application framework; building and executing A/B test-market management of more than 50 million customers, resulting in increased sales and achieving controlling margin flows

Outside of work, Taku enjoys traveling to Seattle to spend time with his two children and his rescue dog. He also helps guide business leaders as an alumni CEO counselor with a data-and-analytics company
