In Sweden, we serve many of the country’s leading companies across all major industries, innovative young firms, national and local government, and leading not for profits. We also serve clients across Europe and the world. Each year, about 60 percent of the consultants in the Sweden office work abroad—in dozens of different countries. Our clients come to us for an independent, global perspective on their most critical challenges, and we work with them to develop solutions that are impactful over time and supported by the whole organization.
You’ll help solve the biggest challenges in business, government, and the social sector in Sweden and across the globe.
Talented people
In every client project, we bring together the best team of people from around the world, drawing on the broadest range of industry and functional experience. While all our consultants have a strong record of academic or professional achievement, they come from many disciplines—not only engineering, business, and economics, but also medicine and law, to mention a few. We look for people with excellent problem-solving and people skills, leadership potential, healthy curiosity, and the courage to take initiative. The caliber of the individuals who work with us is reflected in everything we do.
Community involvement
We are committed to contributing meaningfully to the community, the country, and the world. McKinsey Sweden cofounded Forum För Välfärd (Forum for Healthcare Development) with a group of leading industrialists and prominent representatives from sectors in society including unions, universities, and government. It was established to encourage deeper dialogue and develop viable proposals for lasting improvements in healthcare and welfare. We also launched the Women Up program in Sweden in 2013 under the umbrella of the International Council on Women’s Business Leadership. Women Up is a year-long leadership development program for high-potential women designed by McKinsey, based on the centered-leadership concept.
Diversity and inclusion
McKinsey is an inclusive organization, and we take a broad view of diversity. Our consultants have a wide range of knowledge, backgrounds, skills, and life experiences. Our women’s network provides coaching and events to support professional development and connectivity.
Office culture
We strive to create an atmosphere of connectivity and growth as a group. This includes an active social agenda with opportunities for team sports competitions, office retreats, and celebratory gatherings, both locally and internationally.
