Advises governments, philanthropists, development agencies, multinationals, and private sector institutions on public health and life sciences topics, including vaccines, disease outbreaks, health equity, and health systems transformations.

Tania Zulu Holt is a global coleader of McKinsey’s Public & Social Sector Practices and a senior partner. She started her career in the London office and relocated to Johannesburg in 2010 to help expand McKinsey's activities in healthcare across Africa and pursue her passion for the continent. She returned to the London office in 2018 to lead our Social Sector Practice in Europe with a focus on public health. She has served on McKinsey’s Values Committee and several personnel committees and is currently a member of its global Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Council and the European Leadership Team where she leads our ESG team.

In her client work, Tania advises governments, philanthropists, development agencies, multinationals, and private sector institutions globally on topics related to public health and life sciences, including vaccines, disease outbreaks, health equity, and health systems transformations.

Tania is passionate about championing diversity in organizations and is an author of multiple reports on the topic, including “Women Matter Africa,” and a series on ethnocultural minorities in Europe.

In addition to her role at McKinsey, Tania is active in a variety of higher education settings. She is a council member at the University College London (UCL) and holds advisory roles at the Center for African Studies, Harvard University, and the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE).

Tania is Danish-Mozambican, and fluent in Danish, English, and Portuguese.
