Asians at McKinsey is one of our fastest growing and most vibrant affinity networks, with thousands of members across all roles and tenures. We have members in almost every office globally.
Our objective is to support the apprenticeship and connectivity of all our Asian colleagues. We do this through initiatives like monthly small-group discussions on how to succeed at the firm (especially in your first year), mentor programs, and panel discussions on sponsorship. We organize events showcasing inspiring Asian leaders and build connectivity through flagship celebrations around prominent Asian holidays such as Lunar New Year.
We are increasingly playing a leadership role in raising awareness about Asian-specific social and business issues both inside and outside of McKinsey. We have published extensively on the lack of Asian talent in key leadership roles and how to address this gap. We also use our platform to profile the tremendous contributions of Asian workers in society—from food service, to healthcare, to research and development and education.
