Maksim is the managing partner in McKinsey’s Finland and the Baltics office and leads the firm’s global energy and materials unit in the Nordics. He serves clients across a wide range of topics including strategy, capital portfolio optimization and world-class project delivery, operating model redesign, and holistic business transformation.

Examples of his recent client engagements include the following:

  • supporting corporate and portfolio strategy development, end-to-end redesign of the operating model, and holistic business transformation of a globally leading metals and mining conglomerate
  • orchestrating the end-to-end redesign and implementation of a 21st century-ready capital project delivery system for multiple globally leading oil and gas, metals and mining, electric power, and pulp and paper clients
  • bolstering the capital project cost and schedule optimization, contracting and financing strategy development, owner team and governance set-up, and execution support for some of the world’s largest and most complex capital projects across industrial and infrastructure spaces

Prior to joining McKinsey, Maksim worked in finance with Liberty Mutual Insurance in the United States and at Centrica British Gas in the UK.
