Timo coleads the McKinsey Transformation Practice in Germany and Austria. He focuses on holistic, rapid, and sustainable performance transformations in distressed and good-to-great situations. Timo has served large and mid-cap clients in various industries such as automotive, consumer goods, electronics, financial services, machinery, and retail. He has successfully completed restructuring processes involving refinancing, complex stakeholder negotiations, and insolvency proceedings.
Timo’s recent client experience includes the following:
- developing a restructuring plan and support during implementation including refinancing, reorganization, and footprint optimization for a tier-one automotive supplier
- leading the due diligence, developing the value creation and integration plan, and providing support during the implementation for an electronics merger
- developing a turnaround program and providing implementation support for a retailer
- drafting a holistic performance transformation plan (top-line, bottom-line, cash) and providing implementation support for a machinery company
- designing a restructuring plan and set-up of the implementation for a consumer goods producer
Before joining McKinsey, Timo had more than a decade of recovery and transformation experience at another leading consulting firm, and corporate development experience at a US telecoms firm and Japanese electronics group.
