Harold is a partner in McKinsey’s Boston office, a leader in the Operations Practice, and spearheads our global B2B services initiatives. He also leads the McKinsey Service Technology Enablement Lab, affectionately known as “TechLab,” which coordinates McKinsey's research efforts around digital and other advanced technologies used in services and operations.

Over the past two decades, Harold has dedicated himself to assisting medical device, advanced technical, and industrial companies in improving their operations, expanding their businesses, and achieving their goals. He has collaborated with clients across North America, Europe, and Asia, including Japan.

Harold and his teams are renowned for cultivating close and trusted relationships with executive teams, frontline managers, and employees alike. Working closely together to tackle challenging transformations such as large-scale operational redesigns, establishment of new service organizations, turning stagnant business into double-digit growth drivers, and helping organizations become customer experience leaders within their industries.

Before joining McKinsey, Harold served as senior director of product development for a leading original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of scientific capital equipment, and as director of marketing and sales at a prominent semiconductor equipment OEM in Silicon Valley. Fluent in both English and Dutch, Harold brings a global perspective to his work.
