Impact on business and society
Core to our values is a commitment to help achieve meaningful social impact.
A key priority is the development of future leaders. In Singapore we work with a wide range of organisations—from SPRING, the government’s SME agency, to individual companies and social enterprises—to build capabilities and establish mentoring relationships for young entrepreneurs and professionals. We nurture women’s leadership through mentorship, development programmes, and our research initiative, “Women Matter: An Asian Perspective (PDF–737 KB).”
We have supported the Government of Singapore in driving national priorities, including the Economic Strategy Committee of Singapore and the Government’s Committee on University Education Pathways Beyond 2015. McKinsey's global managing partner Bob Sternfels serves on the Singapore Economic Development Board’s International Advisory Council.
We have helped shape several key national institutions, including the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy. Established in 2004, the School is now a global and Asian hub, with leading international faculty and 400 students from 80 countries.
