Tak is a founding member of our RTS group in Japan. He helps clients going through transformation and turnaround in the advanced industries, high-tech, financial services, global energy and materials (GEM), and consumer packaged goods sectors, from operations and rapid cash creations (working capital improvement) to merger management, organization, and growth.
Tak’s recent programs as part of our RTS Practice included designing three major global turnarounds and good-to-great transformations
- designing and delivering a multi-function global transformation for a global manufacturing company to rebase the cost structure, boosting top line performance, and delivering positive cash flow performance
- leading a private-equity style turnaround for an high-tech business in Asia
- driving transformation for a global logistics company, focusing on branch sales and cost transformation for its diversified business
- built end-to-end M&A strategy and execution plan, as well as due diligence, and led merger management, in collaboration with global headquarters, for global high-tech company
Tak joins other McKinsey Asia and global colleagues in ongoing efforts to support Japanese companies’ turnarounds and transformations.
He has been in the turnaround-and-transformation world since joining Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, where he led three major government-side turnarounds.
